Calcifert goes from strength to strength....
In Autumn 2003 CRW West Thurrock began delivering product for CPI Mortars using just one Renault 8-wheeler rigid. This was so successful that CPI very quickly required extra support and 2 more Renaults soon followed.
Just to show what success can do - currently CRW South East and Eastern depot now provide a dedicated transport service to three CPI production plants at Northfleet in Kent, Harlow in Bedfordshire and Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire. Soon the service will be extended again to cover a brand new CPI production facility at Marchwood near Southampton.
The service has entailed a huge investment by CRW with a total of seven vehicles dedicated to the CPI business. The customer is confident that the volumes of product they need CRW to transport will continue to grow and that both companies will benefit from the arrangement.
CPI produces a range of dry mortar mixes for use by housebuilders, local authorities, universities and government departments. CRW transports the dry mortar to the CPI customer sites where it is blown into one of two silos which are connected to power and water to provide ready mixed mortar at the push of a button. The user benefits of the system are really significant,- reduced space needed for storage of sand and cement etc., reduction in material losses if conditions change, eliminates time spent using concrete mixer and barrow. On top of that the user has a cleaner and tidier site.
With CPI products and CRW's delivery service there are winners all round!!
